The Sleeping Giant is a legendary landform on Lake Superior overlooking the waters of Thunder Bay. Beyond The Giant therefore signifies the pristine land and waters beyond the Sleeping Giant. OUR GOAL: To provide a quiet, private, comfortable, eco-friendly commune with nature. Hundreds of miles of uninhabited coastline, now designated as a national marine conservation area and The Provincial Great Lakes Heritage Coast, surrounds the Beyond the Giant Nature Retreats. Three miles to the southwest lies Sleeping Giant Provincial Park on a massive peninsula that extends into Lake Superior. The Sleeping Giant landform has the highest vertical cliff faces in central Canada.
